Η Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας (ΓΓΕΤ), το Εθνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας και Τεχνολογικής Ανάπτυξης (ΕΚΕΤΑ) και το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Θαλασσίων Ερευνών (ΕΛΚΕΘΕ) διοργανώνουν με τη συνεργασία και την υποστήριξη της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής (Γενική Διεύθυνση Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας) διήμερη εκδήλωση στο πλαίσιο της Ελληνικής Προεδρίας του Συμβουλίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης με θέμα: «Η Έρευνα και η Καινοτομία στην υπηρεσία της Οικονομίας και της Κοινωνίας της Ε.Ε., των χωρών της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής και των χωρών της Μαύρης Θάλασσας (RInES)» στις 29 και 30 Μαΐου 2014 στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
